Fala is an architecture practice found- ed in 2013 in Porto. Both hedonistic and restrained, the studio takes light- ness and joy seriously. The founders' projects can be characterised by a tendency towards an emerging inde- pendence of architectural language. The development of their individual style is linked to their typical commis- sions. Some projects come across like topical declinations of the same pro- gramme: separation of auxiliary func- tions from a main space, zoning of the plan, opening and staging the view onto a small courtyard.
